MADDINGS / WEBSITE CREATION
A fresh identity.
A proper taste of Maddings.
The story behind our website: new branding, a complete rebuild, and practical tools that bring our food, our farm setting and your next visit together.

BRANDING · WEBSITE DESIGN · EDITABLE MENU · BOOKING REQUESTS
More of the place.
More reasons to visit.
Our previous website gave only a small glimpse of Maddings. The rebuild made space for the food, the people and the different reasons to come to Whipley Manor Farm, from a quick coffee to Sunday lunch or a private celebration.
The new identity carries through the website’s deep green and warm gold palette, distinctive Fraunces headings and clear Urbanist text. A video introduction and food photography help visitors get a feel for the restaurant before arriving.
BUILT AROUND HOW WE WORK
Your plans, straight to our team.
Maddings wanted table requests, rotisserie bookings and event enquiries to arrive by email. The website was built around that choice, keeping the conversation with the people who run the restaurant.
A TABLE
Tell us when.
The table request form gathers your name, email, phone number, preferred date and time, party size and any notes. The team then gets in touch to confirm your booking.
AN OCCASION
Tell us what you’re planning.
The venue-hire page introduces the space before asking about the event type, guest numbers, preferred date and time, contact details and plans for the occasion.
Online payments, newsletters and mobile notifications were discussed as future options. The delivered setup starts with the email enquiries the team asked for.
A PAGE FOR EACH REASON TO VISIT
Sunday lunch is a different plan
from a celebration for fifty.
Choose your food
Dedicated brunch and lunch, Sunday roast and rotisserie pages explain the food in more detail and connect visitors with the next step.
Plan your visit
Opening hours, directions, map links and answers about parking, groups and dogs bring practical information into the browsing journey.
Find a reason to return
What’s On gives events and seasonal updates their own pages, with highlights on the homepage so returning visitors can see what is coming up.
REPORTED RESULTS AFTER THE REBUILD
4,000+
monthly page views, up from a few hundred
50%+
of traffic from search, previously around 1-2%
The project’s reported figures also place the menu among the most popular pages, alongside booking, rotisserie, venue hire, What’s On and Sunday roast. Page views count pages viewed, not individual visitors or confirmed bookings.
